A Goodwater man was arrested on multiple drug-related charges, including manufacturing, following a bust that occurred last Thursday.
Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on June 11, members of the Drug Task Force consisting of Coosa County, Clay County, Rockford Police Department, and Goodwater Police Department executed a narcotics search warrant at a residence on Alabama Highway 9 in Goodwater.
Numerous drugs were reportedly found at the residence.
The same day, 35-year-old LaMichael Jacobe Corbin was arrested and charged with first-degree manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance (crack cocaine), possession of a controlled substance (synthetic marijuana), first-degree possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and certain persons forbidden to possess firearms.
The marijuana charge was first degree because of a prior arrest and conviction.
Corbin’s total bond for all six charges was set at $67,500. He was released on bond on June 12 to await trial.
