Central Elementary Beginner Band and Central High School Concert Band recently performed their Spring Concert under the direction of Darryl Ingram.
The concert was emceed by former drum major, Corrie Haynes, who is majoring in music education at Faulkner University, as well as performing with the Faulkner University Marching Eagles.
Haynes started by introducing the Beginner Band who played three songs for family and friends, “Bingo,” “Minute March” and “Power Rock.”
Haynes then introduced the Concert Band who played six selections, including “Darklands March,” “Summit,” “Amazing Grace,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Afterburn.”
Attendees at the Spring Concert were treated to a special preview of the upcoming fall marching band selections. The marching band is already sounding phenomenal, and everyone is looking forward to the upcoming fall season.
Director Ingram closed out the evening by thanking all the parents who have been instrumental in supporting their students’ band program, particularly in the concession stand during home football games. We are looking forward to another great season.
