Special to the News
The post-game ceremony celebrated five Lady Cougar senior softball players, including their accomplishments and future plans.
Ruby Burks, who has played for five years as an outfielder, was joined by her parents, Chris and Beverly Burks.
Hannah Hyatt, who has played for four years as shortstop, was joined by her parents, Jonathan and Tabitha Hyatt.
Henley Jennings, who has played for three years at second base, was joined by her parents, Jason and Tiffany Jennings.
Reese Lee, who has played for six years at third base, was joined by her parents, Sam and Brandi Lee.
Lastly, Alyssa Woodfin, who has played five years as a catcher, was joined by her parents, Maressa and Jimmy Ware.
All the seniors had great memories with their teammates to share and special words of thanks to their coaches and parents. It was a ceremony filled with tears and laughter that celebrated these young ladies who have spent multiple years playing softball at Central.
They also shared their future plans, and we are proud that they all have such promising futures ahead of them.
Thank you to head coach Christ Elliott and assistant coaches Alan Reeser and Jenny Kimbrell for the countless hours you have dedicated to our senior players.
Thank you, also, to the parents for your support of the softball program, Beverly Burks and Maressa Ware for running the concessions and Maressa Ware for making the shadow boxes. Cougar Pride
