April 8 and 15
A Treasure Forest Landowner Tour will be held at the Goff Family Property on April 15, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., with sign-in at 8 a.m. Meals and snack provided. Attendees must register by April 8. For more information and to register, call Coosa Extension at 256-377-4713.
April 10
The Coosa County Cattlemen’s Spring Dinner Meeting will be held April 10, at 6:30 p.m., at the Cattlemen’s Ag Building in Hanover, located at 17257 U.S. Hwy. 231, Rockford, 35136. Guest dinner will be $25 per person. There will be a gun raffle and cake auction.
April 11
Coosa County Republican Party proudly hosts Candidate Fair on April 11 at The Old Rockford School; located at 8840 Coosa County Road 18, Rockford; from 2 to 6 p.m. Come meet and hear from local and state Republican candidates before the primary election.
April 17
It’s that time again! Summer Camp registration is now OPEN. This year’s theme is mythical creatures! The cost of camp is $175 and includes lodging, meals, a shirt, and most importantly lots of fun! April 18
The Coosa County High School Alumni Association will be holding its annual banquet in Rockford at the old high school gymnasium, AKA the Rockford Event Center, at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 18. Everyone who has graduated from or attended CCHS, their spouses and children are invited to attend. Please bring a covered dish and your best stories to share. Paper products, utensils, soft drinks, ice, and tea will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!

The Board of Supervisors for the Coosa County Soil and Water Conservation District will meet on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 10 a.m. at the District Office located at 157 Coosa County Road 157 in Hanover.

The Rockford Utilities Board will meet at 6 p.m. at the Board Office on Monday, April 20. The Utilities Board is located at 9301 U.S. Hwy. 231, Rockford, near Dollar General. For more information call 256-935-4004.
April 25
Weogufka’s Mule Day returns! This year’s event will be held Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Join us for a fun day of mules, music, fried apple pies, cake auction, food, arts and crafts, vendors galore, Children’s Farm Center, car show, and much more! Admission is $5 per vehicle. Vendors needed! For vendor or camper space call Melvin Palmer at 256-479-6932. Sausage biscuits will be sold ahead of the event, beginning at 7 a.m. We are also thrilled that Randy Glenn and Peppy will be back on stage at the amphitheater for Mule Day, with their musical entertainment beginning at 9 a.m. Bring a chair, relax, and enjoy some great music! Join us at the Weogufka Center at 145 Memorial Loop in Weogufka for this fun family event!
May 23
The Equality Volunteer Fire Department will be selling Boston butts and a rack of St. Louis ribs for $35 each over Memorial Day weekend. Distribution day will be May 23, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the fire department lodge next to Quality Food Mart. For more information and to purchase, contact a member of the Equality VFD.
June 11-13
Muddy Water Bluegrass Jammin’ and Camping will be held June 11-13 at the Weogufka Center, located at 145 Memorial Loop in Weogufka. Jammin’ will be Thursday and Friday. Bluegrass Scramble on Friday at 6 p.m. Stage shows starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13. For more information contact Sue Baxley at 256-249-3666. Lineup will be announced in June issue of “Alabama Music Association Magazine.”
Weekly
The Goodwater Youth Development and Recreational Center is open to the public weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., and practice days for the travel ball team are those same days from 5 to 6 p.m. Cheerleader practice is held on Wednesdays and Fridays. Monthly
Richville Neighborhood Watch will be held the first Thursday of each month at the fire department, 13185 Coosa County Rd. 14, Rockford, 35136. The gathering begins with a potluck meal at 6 p.m., and the meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Come out and see what is happening in your community.

Monthly breakfast returns to West Coosa Senior Center! The West Coosa Senior Center in Stewartville will host breakfast on the fourth Saturday of each month from 7-10 a.m. at the center, located at 47 Coosa County Road 70, Sylacauga, 35151 (the old Stewartville School). Breakfast is $8 per plate with choice of ham, bacon, sausage, eggs, gravies, and more! Dine in or call ahead at 256-249-2024 to carry out. Donations appreciated! Breakfast will be served monthly now through October, with it not being held in November or December.

West Coosa Friday Night Dance & Dine will be held the second Friday of each month at the West Coosa Senior Center! Live oldies music by The Misfitz Band, Potluck supper – bring your favorite covered dish to share. Doors open at 5 p.m., and supper starts at 5:15 p.m. Admission is FREE! This is a family friendly event – no alcohol! Friday Night Dance & Dine is proudly sponsored by J&J Pest Away. The senior center is located at 47 Coosa County Road 70, Stewartville, 35151.
