A Goodwater man was arrested late last month for driving under the influence following a routine traffic stop.
On February 24, Deputy Parker was patrolling County Road 511 in the Goodwater area when he observed a vehicle being driven erratically. He proceeded to initiate a traffic stop.
Parker made contact with the driver and asked him to step out of the vehicle for field sobriety tests. The driver failed all sobriety tests.
As such, 67-year-old Randy Carl Gray was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
His bond was set at $2,000. As of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
