A Goodwater man was arrested early last month during a routine patrol.
Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on January 8, while on patrol Deputy Kelley observed a vehicle with a traffic violation. He conducted a traffic stop, and the driver was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Kelley approached the vehicle, and while talking with the driver he observed that he had slurred speech, bloodshot eyes and smelled of alcohol.
Kelley asked the driver three times to conduct a field sobriety test. However, the driver declined to answer.
Ultimately the traffic stop led to the arrest of 41-year-old Geronda Lee Judkins for driving under the influence.
His bond was set at $2,000, and he was released on bond January 9 to await trial.
