A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:15 a.m. Sunday, November 30, has claimed the life of a Talladega man.
Roy W. Tarwater Jr., 60, was fatally injured when the 1997 Toyota 4Runner he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Tarwater was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Oakdale Road near Odena Road, approximately eight miles north of Sylacauga, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
