The Town of Kellyton held its organizational meeting, swearing in its returning mayor and Town Council members for new four-year terms.
Town Clerk Karen Keel administered the oath of office to Mayor Johnny Sharpe and Council members George Camp, Nancy Fuller, Donna Keel, and Missy Kohls.
Councilmember Gwen Rich was unable to attend because of family illness. As such, the oath of office will be administered to her at a later date.
Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Council held its organizational meeting. Kohls was nominated to serve as mayor pro tempore and was unanimously approved.
The Council also voted to continue holding regularly scheduled meetings on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. at Kellyton Town Hall. All meetings are open to the public.
Anyone desiring to be placed on the agenda to address the Council should contact Town Clerk Keel at least 48 hours prior to the meeting to be placed on the agenda.
Kellyton’s next regularly scheduled meeting will be held at 6 p.m. December 2.
