ADOC K-9 arrests four on contraband charges at Fountain

On Wednesday, November 5, staff at Fountain Correctional Facility reported an attempted contraband incident to Alabama Department of Corrections K-9.
Agents immediately responded and made a traffic stop on suspects Jamarion Sanders, Austin Jones and Devon Walton.
They were detained, interviewed, and ultimately arrested on the following charges:

Trafficking fentanyl

Trafficking methamphetamine

Trafficking opium

First-degree possession of marijuana

Prohibited activities

First-degree promoting prison contraband

Second-degree promoting prison contraband

Distribution of a controlled substance (fentanyl)

Distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine)

Distribution of a controlled substance (opium)

Distribution of a controlled substance (marijuana)
The suspects were transported to the Escambia County Jail without incident.
Recovered contraband included 14 grams of fentanyl, 39 opioid pills, 56 grams of methamphetamine, 152 grams of marijuana, and two cell phones.
