A single-vehicle crash involving a bicyclist that occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, has claimed the life of a 15-year-old juvenile.
The 15-year-old was fatally injured when the bicycle the youth was operating was struck by the 2012 Honda Fit driven by Melanie A. Morrow, 63, of Millbrook. The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 14 near the 163-mile marker, approximately one mile east of Millbrook, in Elmore County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
