A Rockford woman was arrested recently after making numerous unfounded 911 calls, after having been arrested for a similar charge in February.
Chief Deputy Scott Hammond reported that on July 14, Deputy Payton responded to Alabama Highway 22 to assist Coosa County EMS regarding an individual who made weekly and sometimes daily 911 calls. Hammond stated that the caller would make up stories to get police to respond.
The number of false 911 calls resulted in the arrest of 45-year-old Lauren Gabriella Faust, who was charged with interference with public safety communications.
Her bond was set at $5,000. As of press time she remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
Anyone who suspects or observes illegal activity is encouraged to report it to the Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922 or online at www.coosacountyso.org. Anonymous tips are also welcome.
