A two-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:05 p.m. Saturday, June 28, has claimed the life of a Calera man.
Bradley J. Goggins, 34, was fatally injured when the 1999 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving collided head-on with the 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Zackary S. Moore, 38, of Thorsby.
Goggins was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Moore was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was transported to the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Hospital for treatment.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 31 near the 237-mile marker, approximately two miles north of Jemison, in Chilton County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
