Youth enjoy Goodwater Library’s summer program
Special to the News
Area youth have been thoroughly enjoying Goodwater Public Library’s Summer Reading Program, with the weekly program including story time and activities.
This past Tuesday children enjoyed a Vincent van Gogh inspired program.
One of the books that Samantha Godsy read to the children was “Vincent Can’t Sleep.” The children then created their own Vincent van Gogh painting, “The Starry Night.” Youth also did their family story and decorated cupcakes!
This Tuesday, June 24, is the last day of Goodwater’s Summer Reading Program. The program is held from 10 to 11 a.m. at Goodwater Library, located at 62 Coosa County Road 66.
For more information on the program or other services the library offers, call 256-839-5741.
