The Extension System is having a blueberry workshop at the E.V. Smith Research Station (4725 County Road 40, Shorter) in Macon County on Tuesday, June 10.
Extension specialists and horticulture professors from Auburn University will be leading the meeting. Topics discussed at this meeting include Rabbiteye Blueberry Cultivar Evaluation, Growing Southern Highbush Blueberry in High Tunnel vs. Field, Southern Highbush Evaluation, Auburn University
Blueberry Breeding Program Update, Disease Detection in Fruit Crops, Pruning Blueberry Plants, Pest Management, and a Field Tour of Blueberry Research.
The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude about 2 p.m. Lunch will be provided, but you must register on or before June 5 to attend this meeting. The registration fee for this meeting is $10.
