Coosa County and surrounding areas will have the opportunity to see their local first responders go toe to toe on the ball field to see who will take home the trophy in a charity softball tournament.
Coined the “Battle of the Brave,” the second annual Coosa County Sheriff’s Office Softball Tournament will pit the Sheriff’s Office against local fire departments and other first responders to see who comes out on top.
The tournament will be a “best two out of three” format, with each round lasting approximately an hour. Tournament play will begin at 6 p.m. next Friday, May 23, at the Central softball field in Hanover.
Admission is $3 at the gate, and the Sheriff’s Office encourages area residents and guests to come out and enjoy the evening watching their local law enforcement and other first responders battle it out on the field.
Refreshments will be available at the concession stand, and the Sheriff’s Office appreciates all support from those making concession stand purchases, as well.
Proceeds will go toward the 2025 Shop with the Sheriff program this holiday season.
For more information, contact the Sheriff’s Office at 256-377-4922.
