Special to the News
Mrs. Newsome’s fifth grade students always look forward to their science lab days, which provide an opportunity for hands-on learning.
The students’ most recent lab had them investigating the role of camouflage and size on predator-prey relationships. Students found that prey can use camouflage to protect themselves from predators, whereas predators can use camouflage to sneak up on their prey.
Thank you to Coosa County Schools science coach Shelley Wood for sharing pictures and information.
