The Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development Council plus Partners will be presenting a program concerning services and assistance they offer.
The workshop will be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the J. D. Thompson Alumni Association, 1854 Coosa County Road 93, Kellyton, 35089.
The program will include grants and/or loans for economic development, community development, EQIP, saving pollinators, tunnel house crop production, feral hog control, forest development, and other topics. Also learn about youth loans, 4-H, cancer prevention, and more.
Veterans may receive a higher reimbursement rate for installing conservation practices under the EQIP program.
There is something for everyone; new producers, adults, elderly, youth, and community members.
Some free garden seeds and 2-pound bags of fertilizers will be available for participants. Door prizes will be given away, including a $15 gift card to Chick-fil-A and one 1.5 cubic foot bag of Miracle Gro Garden Soil. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
