The fifth veterans drive, spearheaded by brothers Kaden and Carter Tindall, proved to be another successful event in helping collect items for area veterans.
The brothers, sons of Thomas and Jennifer Tindall of Rockford, recruited more help this year from fellow students Brandon Thompson and Justin Calhoun to help make the drive a success with help from residents with their donations. The family also extends its thanks to manager Katurah Lewis and the staff at Rockford Dollar General who were instrumental in the supply drive’s success.
In addition to receiving numerous items from the wish list provided by Bill Nichols Veterans Home, the boys received $300 in monetary donations.
The Tindalls emphasize that Bill Nichols Veterans Home takes great care of their veterans and that this drive, dubbed “Shop for a Veteran,” is “just extra to spread love” and a way for the brothers to show their appreciation for veterans, their service and sacrifice.
Kaden and Carter thank everyone for their donations and generosity for this year’s “Shop for a Veteran” and express their gratitude for each item and monetary donation received.
Regarding Brandon and Justin pitching in to help Kaden and Carter with this year’s drive, Mrs. Tindall said, “They are all amazing young men and have servant hearts. Coosa Central was well represented again this year!”
