Special to the News
Central High School Coosa County’s inaugural golf team started competition this week.
Members of the school’s first golf team, pictured from left, are Jacob Stevens, Torrance Kelley, Eli Self, Ethan Cosby, and Tanner Hill in the back row and Kelsey Sizemore, Traci Cox, and Heidi Philiips in the front row (not pictured, Reagan Cardwell).
The team has been practicing on the greens two days a week and at their on-campus simulation range three times a week. The student athletes have also been practicing on their own time on the weekends.
Everyone is excited about having a golf team, and we wish them well on their inaugural season.
