On January 2, Coosa County Licensing Administrator Rebecca Lewis sold the first vehicle tags and registrations for the new year.
The ambulance fee Coosa Countians voted (March 2024) overwhelmingly to enact went into effect January 1, 2025. The first customer to purchase tags/registrations with the ambulance fee applied was Judge of Probate Richard Dean.
Although he purchased seven tags/registrations with the new ambulance licensing fee applied, Dean said it was a small price to pay if he, a family member, or a friend needed ambulance service in Coosa County.
