An Alexander City man was arrested earlier this month when a deputy observed erratic driving behavior.
On December 15, while Deputy Payton was on routine patrol, he saw a vehicle traveling west on County Road 50 with its headlights out and driving in the wrong lane.
Payton conducted a traffic stop, and because of the careless driving, he performed a field sobriety test on the driver.
That led to the driver, 47-year-old Antonio Roydregus Stone, being arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
His bond was set at $1,500, and he was released on bond the following day to await trial.
