A single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian occurred at approximately 5:06 p.m. Wednesday, November 27, and has claimed the life of a Salem man.
The pedestrian, Floyd C. Davis, 49, who was in the roadway, was fatally injured after being struck by an unknown vehicle. Davis was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The vehicle that struck Davis left the scene of the crash and is unknown at this time.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 169 near the 12-mile marker, approximately two miles north of Crawford, in Lee County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
