The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
Okay Coosa Community, it is time to get our old butts out and vote. Everybody needs to vote, whether you like the choices or not. Every vote counts because our election system is, like America, great.
Our system is community based. In our community, we are so lucky. No crowds, no lines. In Alabama we can take time off work. For retired folks, a trip to the polls is a chance to say hi to neighbors we don’t see much.
In other countries people often have to travel to the polls. Centralized systems are far easier to monitor and intimidate. In one country I know of, voting is mandatory and fines are assessed to ensure compliance. (of course, this country has a 96-plus% voter turnout rate.).
It is sad that so much distrust has spread across America. Your vote, your voice is our way. See you Tuesday!
Your eye in the sky, love,
Buzzy
