A Goodwater man was killed in a motorcycle crash early last Friday near Oak Grove in Talladega County.
The single-vehicle crash occurred at approximately 1:50 a.m. October 4.
Jeremy R. Jackson, 49, was fatally injured when the 2004 Yamaha YZF600R motorcycle that he was operating left the roadway and struck a ditch before sliding into a culvert. Jackson was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Odens Mill Road near Robertson Road, approximately one mile east of Oak Grove, in Talladega County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
A visitation and memorial service for Jackson were held Monday at Andrew’s Chapel in Hanover. Jackson is survived by his children, Colton Jackson and Abigail Parker; his father, Don Jackson; sister, Donna Horn; and other family members.
