The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
I have a question for you; what is loud, annoying, and pretty much useless? Answer: An ATV parade. Now I haven’t seen one, but there is quite the buzz around the community. I have talked to people that have seen them trespassing, riding through town at night, riding on public roads, and racing at midnight. Who hasn’t heard them? I want to hear your story.
ATVs were invented as tools for farms, ranches, and forestlands to haul materials, gear and tools to remote areas. Hunters started using them to make their pastime easier. And the product evolved with the markets.
Now they are loud with big exhaust pipes, with booming stereos to be heard over said exhaust. Some racing models have sophisticated suspensions so you can wreck faster. Some carry six passengers – a party barge on wheels – and some have light bars – for…what? They have become really, really expensive toys.
Well, play with your toys, but show some respect. Respect private property. Ride out where nobody lives. Remember that most people sleep at night. Remember that not everybody wants to share your taste in music.
This is a peaceful community; speak out if you want it to stay that way!
Love, your eye in the sky,
Buzzy
