Senior citizens are encouraged to make plans to attend Octoberfest on Thursday, October 17, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the J. D. Thompson alumni building.
The events planned include: a tour of the museum; music; fun games such as dominoes, checkers and bingo; and there will be prizes. There will also be healthy activities for the mind and body, a tasty snack and time to fellowship with old friends and new.
The J. D. Thompson alumni building is located at 1854 Coosa County Road 30, in the Cottage Grove community. There is no charge for this event, but a $5 donation would be appreciated.
Remember to dress comfortably, tell a friend, and bring a friend. All senior citizens are invited to attend.
