A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 1:15 a.m. Wednesday, September 25, has claimed the life of a Jemison man.
Mark S. Allred, 53, was fatally injured when the 2024 Freightliner tractor-trailer he was driving left the roadway and struck a cable barrier before overturning. Allred was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 215-mile marker, approximately five miles southeast of Jemison, in Chilton County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
