The seventh through eleventh grades awards program recognized students on the A and A/B Honor Roll, as well as Outstanding Student and Most Improved Student in each grade level and subject. Students were also recognized for their service, including 33 Student Government Association members receiving their medals for a combined total of 1,286 hours volunteered in service to their school and community. Individual Highest Service Awards went to seventh grader Erick Martinez, eighth grader Karal Morales, ninth grader Ruby Burks, tenth grader Ashtin Robbins, and eleventh grader Abigail Hyatt. Teachers in each grade level were also recognized by their students for their dedication to creating a classroom environment focused on learning. Teacher of the Year for seventh grade was Mrs. Thompson, eighth grade was Mrs. Belyeu, ninth grade was Mrs. Stover, tenth grade was Mr. Mitchell, and the eleventh grade recipient was Mrs. Lee. Thank you to counselor, Mrs. Long; assistant principal, Mr. Russaw; and principal, Mrs. Lee, for all their work in recognizing our students’ academic excellence.
