Coosa County Forestry Planning Committee will host its Annual Forestry Field Day on October 20 at the Robinwald Farm, located at 12080 Alabama Highway 22, Rockford, 35136.
This event will consist of four educational tour stops, a few exhibitors, lunch, and special recognition of stewardship awards.
This year’s tour will consist of educational training on predator trapping featuring speaker Mr. Brian Grice, brown spot needle blight in loblolly pine featuring speaker Dr. Lori Eckhardt, mid-rotation release featuring speaker Ms. Michelle Isenberg, and native grass featuring Mr. Claude Jenkins.
Loggers and foresters needing hours can receive two hours of Continuing Forestry Education credits (CFEs) and Professional Logging Manager (PLM) hours.
