The first quarter started off slow for both the Central Cougars and the Talladega Tigers, but with only two minutes left in the first quarter, number 9, running back Cassidy Howard, scored the first touchdown of the game for the Cougars.
From that first touchdown, the Cougars would maintain their lead throughout the entire game. A fumble in the second quarter brought the score to 12-0, followed by a 35-yard pass by quarterback Antoneo Grant, number 4, to running back Elisha Hayes, number 25.
In the third quarter a pass to corner back Lacorian Thompson, number 19, brought the score to 18-7 and a 2-point conversion pass to Elisha Hayes ended the third quarter with a score of 20-7. The final score for the game was 34-22, Cougars.
