Union Square News
Ruby Johnson
Union Square is fired up and burning this week, in many ways. One is that Mr. Robert Shaw of Union Square and his employees have the Square looking good.
It is glowing so beautifully that you can almost see to Union Square at 14th Street in New York City. It’s that beautiful and clear.
We thank God and him for keeping the neighborhood looking like a place of peace. You can see and feel the peace of the birds singing in the treetops and the butterflies flying around peacefully.
Pastor Todd said (wrote) a mouthful (as we country folks say) when he wrote in his June 3 column concerning rights, titled “Giving up your rights,” and I loved it!
Now he didn’t say what I am about to write. However, I am tired of people complaining about their rights. What rights do we have except to serve God in a right way? He served us.
People are blind and still in the dark. They don’t want Jesus’ light to shine on them, afraid of being uncovered, so they can do their dirty work and think He doesn’t know. How wrong can they be?
They have no respect for God and do not fear Him. Well, let me shine my light a little for those who are playing games in the dark and do not fear the Lord.
Before I do, let me first quote Psalm 111:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all those who do His commandments. His praise endures forever.”
How can anyone accuse President Joe Biden of being a racist and calling him Sleepy Joe Biden with no respect, copying from Gov. Kay Ivey. It is a disgrace, after God has kept them from falling asleep many times while laying in the hospital.
They should be praising God every minute and thanking Him for keeping their eyes open instead of focusing on President Biden, race and gas prices. Take some time to pray for your president and stop blaming him for your own issues.
It seems to me that you are jealous and more racist than anyone by writing these words, quote, “Down here all races get along just fine at this stage of the game.” Wow, I was not aware it was a game.
However, I do know and am very much aware that all races do not get along down here, up there, out there, in there, and even in England. Let’s get real. This is not a game.
Also, speaking of Black voters and being nice, let me shine my light and clear the record with this trash being uncovered and spreading around. Blacks do not need politicians or anyone to tell them how to vote and how to be nice to folks.
They were taught very well how to respect others and be nice to everyone, whatever color they are. Donald Trump and all other racists need to learn how to give respect and be nice to all races, and then it will not be a disgrace to Americans or any other countries.
It is a disgrace for anybody to compare President Joe Biden to Donald Trump and to make sarcastic remarks about Black folks’ voting business or anything else. If you are not Black you cannot speak of Blacks’ well being.
Oh, pardon me, there are many different shades of Black folks, and I might not know the difference. Light skin folks might ought to stand in front of the mirror, get an understanding and have your facts in order before you speak on race, color and being nice, etc.
Read Psalm 111:10 and get some understanding and wisdom. We all need to fear the Lord and love everybody. Maybe if Trump feared the Lord he can be compared to President Biden.
We are saddened over the death of Mr. Lewis Scarbrough. Union Square hearts go out to Mrs. Denise and family.
Happy birthday to Tray Oden from Granny Anita, and to her son, Winfred Fleeton, with much love.
