The Buzz
Buzzy the Buzzard
Another new business! Xtreme Auto Detail on Main Street in Rockford. Another entrepreneur that needs our support. If I only had a car…
It is rabies clinic time again. Dr. Baxley will have clinics in Weogufka and Marble Valley this Saturday. You can get your pooches punched and donate to the Coosa County Animal Shelter at the same time.
Speaking of donations to the shelter, shame, shame, shame on the Rockford Town Council for not immediately pledging major support when Mr. Hill spoke at their meeting. With all the feral dogs, cats, rats, and critters running around Rockford you would think they would be first in line to support the shelter.
Y’all, this shelter is the most important thing to happen to Coosa County this decade. Even I and all my buzzard cousins have donated. I am watching.
I join the county in mourning the passing of Lewis Scarbrough, Rockford resident and publisher of “The Coosa County News,” as he died peacefully Wednesday, June 8.
There will be more details in next week’s edition. In Mr. Lewis’s honor, go pick up some trash and help keep Coosa County beautiful.
Your eye in the sky, love,
Buzzy
Editor’s note: Readers can submit “Letters to Buzzy” and “Ask Buzzy” via mail to The Coosa County News; P.O. Box 99; Rockford, AL 35136; or via email to christa@thecoosacountynews.com. Any correspondence received will be promptly passed along to Coosa County’s favorite buzzard.
