A Rockford man was arrested early last month for allegedly assaulting an individual in the Hanover area.
Sheriff Michael Howell reported that Deputy Bradberry and he were dispatched to a residence in Hanover for a call of service. He said the victim was cut with a knife and that when they arrived the victim had already been taken to the hospital with injuries from a knife.
Antoine Armstrong was located in the residence when they arrived on the scene. An investigation culminated in determining that Armstrong had caused the injuries to the victim.
Armstrong, 34 years old of Rockford, was arrested on May 8 on the charge of second-degree assault, a felony charge.
His bond was set at $5,000, and as of press time he remained in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
