A single-vehicle crash involving a commercial vehicle that occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. Thursday, October 1, has claimed the life of a Jackson’s Gap man.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Jeremy J. Webb, 42, was fatally injured when the 2020 Kenworth dump truck that he was driving left the roadway, overturned and struck a tree. Webb was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Alabama Highway 22 near the 131-mile marker, approximately one mile east of New Site, in Tallapoosa County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
