I thank God for pastors who listen and obey God. Pastor Chris Hill and Pastor Stanford Benson are truly blessing me by hearing God speak.
They both are growing in Christ themselves, and I love it. It helps us to grow. We are never too old to grow and follow these young pastors’ visions.
Pastor Benson had this vision of a “Fellowship Tuesday Night” bringing in five men of God, who started out in Rockford First Baptist Church and now have become pastors. The vision is working, and Butch and I are blessed to be a part of it.
We have heard some great “preaching” from these preachers, two powerful brothers. We heard the last two months speak, and I must call them out. My mother, Beatrice Johnson, was their chosen grandmother, and Pastor Michael Edwards acknowledged her in his message. Thank you, Pastor Edwards.
July 14 he preached a great message that was needed in a world today with much struggle. Edwards is the pastor of Divine Baptist Church in Shorter. Life is ripe with struggle, health issues, financial issues, and people issues. It is difficult dealing with people sometimes.
We are not naturally humble. We need to get over ourselves and admit we are not perfect. We all have faults.
Bishop Eddie Edwards preached in August of Greater Works #2 Outreach Ministries in Wetumpka, and oh, did he bring light to a dark world, speaking from Genesis 1:1-5. His subject: “Time.”
You can live in time, not on time. God goes before time. No darkness, no light, locked in time. We were not born on our time. We are not a mistake. We are a promise by God’s time.
Bishop broke “time” down so well that a child could understand the breakdown, though we can never understand God’s time.
There was so much in the message I cannot write it all. The Holy Spirit had His way, and Bishop Edwards obeyed and moved out of the way. This is what I love about this man of God, a very humble person who loves God and obeys Him, and can sing for the Lord, too.
I thank God for the vision God gave Pastor Benson. I have been revived.
Next month will be Pastor Tremayne Benson from Friendship M.B.C. in Mobile. We can hardly wait.
Happy birthday to my nephew Landon Lee Hill, my niece Thelma Hill, Lee Cousin, niece Zaria Abston, and all August born.
Let’s pray for all the troubles in this world, for the schoolchildren, teachers and school workers.
