Union Square’s Neighborhood Watch meeting last Monday night was a beautiful one. Deputy Austin Brown brought us the sheriff’s report, which is always informative. We welcome more neighbors to come out and be more informed of what’s happening around you.
A special raffle was held, and Butch Hardman was the blessed guy. Thanks to Sam Barclay’s great-grandson for pulling his name, Butch said.
We want to keep our secretary, Robin Schmidt, and treasurer, Sue Rogers, in prayer, who are a little under the weather, as well as others in the community.
Two Union Square sweet ladies, Lena Johnston and Ran Wilson, just celebrated their birthdays, and we wish them all the happiness. Happy birthday to all early August born, including my son, Bernard, on August 2.
Sometimes you think you have gotten over the hump, and then you look around, and there is another bump. What do you do? You ask God to go before you and make those crooked roads straight, and He will if you believe and trust Him.
Our prayers and condolences go to Mr. Doug and family in the loss of Mrs. Sara Baldwin, a sweet and smart lady. My heart is still heavy, but the weight is not mine. God’s got it. Sara is resting now.
Sleep on, Sara. We are missing you. Your obituary is so alive. It spoke for you.
I have talked about many things and people in the past, this and that, etc. Now it’s time to talk about my this and that of my Jimmy (Butch) Hardman.
He is one of the greatest men I have known, kindhearted, a hard worker, sometimes a crabby old man, but loves this sometimes crabby old lady. He loves his family, loves people and gets along with all people.
He loves God, but lets his ego get in the way sometimes to trust Him. However, we work on that, and our love for each other and God grows stronger. Praise God.
I love this man called Butch Hardman. My family loves him, especially my great-grandchildren, Chelsey and Chayce. They give him so much love. First thing they say when they come to the house, “Where is Paw Paw?”
Happy birthday to my grandson, Chesley, and my nephew LaJerrell, who both celebrate their birthdays on Tuesday, August 10, and to my chosen grandson, Dollis, on Thursday, August 13, who shares with my brother Robert. Hope you guys enjoy your day with much happiness.
