Dalana Mitchell BSN, RN, RN-BC, MSHQS is the daughter of William and Dianne Mitchell and a proud native of Hissop, a community in Coosa County.
She proudly fulfills one of her childhood dreams by serving as a registered nurse at The University of
Alabama at Birmingham.
According to Florence Nightingale, “I think one’s feelings waste themselves in words; they ought all to be distilled into actions, which bring results.”
Nurse Mitchell embodies Nightingale’s sentiments. She is a person of action!
Dalana holds an Associate of Literary Arts Degree from Central Alabama Community College, Alexander City; a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and a Master of Healthcare Quality and Safety Degree, both from The University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Her nursing astuteness coupled with exemplary professional skills makes her an expert in the nursing realm.
Furthermore, for the month of April 2026, she was nominated and awarded Employee of the Month in recognition of her compassionate care, professionalism and unwavering dedication to both her patients and her team.
Mitchell is truly a shining star and exudes superb qualities of nursing. She consistently demonstrates
kindness, empathy and a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of the patients she serves.
Her ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism makes her an exceptional member of the team.
Beyond her outstanding patient care, Mitchell is also a tremendous support to her colleagues. She works incredibly hard for the team and enthusiastically shares her knowledge, skills and talents with others.
Dalana consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does. She exemplifies teamwork, leadership and a true spirit of service. Her positive attitude and dedication elevate those around her and strengthen the entire team.
