Ophelia Rose Gould, left, graduating from Central High School Coosa County.

Ophelia Gould on display at Rockford Church of God with photos of her from birth to now.
Union Square is very proud of one of their own, Ophelia Rose Gould, who graduated from Central High School in Hanover.
We cannot say enough about her great achievement; coming from Florida and adjusting, adapting to a new situation, school and friends, etc. Congratulations to Ophelia (Opie) and to all seniors who graduated.
Rockford Church of God, where Ophelia attends and is a member, is being blessed. Seven people were baptized last Sunday, praise God, and congratulations to all the newcomers.
Let me encourage someone today to try Jesus. There is a song that my dear friend Elsie Riggins used to sing so well! “Try Jesus” – if you need Him, try Him. Well I tried Him many times, and He was always on time!
Two Tuesdays ago I tried Him again. I was wearing my bathrobe with two large pockets on both sides, and God spoke. I had lit an incense, put it in a holder and laid it on a table where I was standing. Butch walked by and mistakenly bumped into it, knocking it down.
I looked everywhere and could not find it. I panicked for fear of a fire starting, then I was reminded to pray in tongues. I looked down over my body, into my pockets. The incense and holder were in my pocket, standing straight up, burning.
I panicked again, hitting it instead of removing it, then I spoke in tongues again and calmly removed it while it was still burning. It did not catch me nor the bathrobe on fire. I was reminded of the Hebrews boys. I praised God in tongues all day long.
I don’t care what people say about me praying and praising God in tongues, and you who criticized me and hate me for praying in tongues should try Jesus.
Twenty years ago I was criticized for obeying and praying in tongues for a mother and her child, for her to move the baby away, as the preacher was praying for bad spirits out. I looked around and saw the grandmother telling the baby’s mom, “Don’t listen to her.” Now 20 years later, today the child and grandmother are reaching out to me in desperation, crying and wanting me to pray in tongues, and I am right there for them in any way I can help, and happy to do so!
Wow, my New York Knicks are too hot to trot. They are running hot. Congratulations on their 27-year run.
I agree with you, Buzzy. It is a shame how voting issues are now! Nonvoters, leadership, attitudes, laziness, uneducated and don’t try to learn, and got the biggest mouth of all. Why don’t they shut up and vote up! Voting speaks for itself.
Memorial Day weekend was great and special. We spent some great long overdue time with longtime special friends, Lee, Frankie, Brandi, Kelseigh, Jay II, and Baily. The rain and pain did not stop us from enjoying life. Good fellowship, good eating and great memories were shared.
Arthritis tried to stop me and Lee, but lost. My big mouth kept running, and Lee’s hands kept turning, making homemade ice cream. The food was excellent, done by Frankie and Brandi.
Kelseigh, “Miss Princess,” was the best hostess. Butch and I just relaxed and enjoyed every moment. Jay and Baily chilled out until we were about to leave, and they had a fit wanting us to stay. A great day in Alabama at the Cousins.
