A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Kellyton woman for driving under the influence.
On April 18, while on routine patrol, Deputy Kelley observed a vehicle with an expired tag. He ran the information through dispatch and confirmed that it was expired.
He proceeded to initiate a traffic stop on County Road 50. He made contact with the driver, 53-year-old Rhonda Koron Harrell, and could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from her person, according to reports.
Kelley asked her if she would take standard field sobriety tests, and she consented, but failed all of the tests.
Harrell was arrested for driving under the influence of any substance.
Her bond was set at $2,000, and she was released on bond the following day to await trial.
