A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. Sunday, April 26, has claimed the life of an Ohatchee man.
David P. Sharp, 56, was critically injured when the 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was operating left the roadway and struck a tree. Sharp was transported to Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 231 near the 191-mile marker, approximately two miles north of Rockford, in Coosa County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
