Save the date; May 30, at 8 a.m.; as the Coosa County Training School/J.D. Thompson High School Fun Run/Walk-a-Thon is the place you need to be.
The event, named in honor of Mrs. Chlora K. May, is the perfect health and wellness activity for family and friends. Enjoy the fresh air and 5K Challenge as you walk/run at your own pace.
Registration will be from 7 to 7:45 a.m., with a $15 registration fee. The walk/run will start at 8 a.m., and the top four finishers will receive an award.
Line dancing will start at 10 a.m. There will be concessions, and the historic Coosa County Training Elementary School will be open for tours.
J.D. Thompson High School is located in the Cottage Grove community at 1854 Coosa County Road 93, Kellyton, 35089.
