On Wednesday, March 18, ADOC Narcotics and K-9 officers executed a residential search warrant at 121 Honor Way in Madison, Ala.
The residence belongs to Laquita Shanta Edwards, and the warrant is the result of an ongoing investigation into synthetic cannabinoid (sprayed paper) being introduced into the state’s correctional facilities.
During the search officers seized 565.23 gross grams (1.246 pounds) of synthetic cannabinoid sprayed paper, envelopes, stamps, printer, printer paper, and printer ink.
Edwards was transported to the Bibb County Jail on a trafficking warrant. This investigation is
ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
