A Kellyton woman was arrested earlier this month for driving under the influence following a traffic stop.
On February 6, deputies Kelley and Brown were on routine patrol on U.S. Highway 280 when they came across a vehicle traveling at an excessive rate of speed and proceeded to conduct a traffic stop.
As they approached the vehicle they smelled a strong odor of alcohol. They observed that the driver was disoriented and would not make eye contact.
Deputies conducted field sobriety tests, and the driver failed all tests given.
Julia Lynn Hart, 45 years old, of Kellyton, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. Her bond was set at $2,000, and she was released on bond February 8 to await trial.
