On Saturday, February 14, the ADOC K-9 team assigned to Staton Correctional Facility arrested suspects Tyrone Davis and Kelvin Gibbons on charges of trafficking methamphetamine, trafficking synthetic cannabinoids, possession of marijuana, and second-degree attempting to promote prison contraband.
A backpack was discovered in their possession containing the following items:
- Approximately 171 gross grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 802 gross grams of marijuana
- Approximately 87 gross grams of white printer paper sprayed with synthetic cannabinoids
- 17 cell phones
- 16 sets of wireless earbuds
- 19 USB wires
- 7 USB blocks
- 3 pocketknives
- 1 digital scale
- 99 Black N Milds
- 1 bottle of Patron Tequila
The investigation is ongoing, and further charges may be pending.
