The Cougars won the Semi-Final round against Horseshoe Bend last Friday, with a score of 77-34, and then progressed to the Finals Monday versus Ranburne.
Central of Coosa County won the last time they faced Ranburne, and things went their way on Monday, too. The Cougars breezed past the Bulldogs to the tune of 73-41.
The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.
LaCorrian Thompson produced another solid effort shooting 40% from the field en route to 24 points along with eight assists and seven boards. He also grabbed six steals, which is notable because Central of Coosa County is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 6-8 otherwise.
Jaquez Parker was another key player, going 5-for-11 on his way to 12 points and five steals.
The victory made it two in a row for Central of Coosa County and bumps their season record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75 points over those games.
