A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:20 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, has claimed the life of a Talladega man.
Jeffery D. McKinney Jr., 32, was fatally injured when the 2011 Chevrolet Cruze he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. McKinney was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Coosa County Road 85 near Crystal Spring Drive, approximately one mile south of Goodwater, in Coosa County.
Nothing further is available as troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
