A Wetumpka man was arrested last Tuesday on three charges following a report from a concerned citizen.
On October 14, Sgt. Ward and Lt. Moon responded to a call in the Ray community reporting two suspicious white males.
After arriving on the scene and making contact with the two males, one gave a false name. The other individual had arrest warrants with another agency.
The investigation culminated in the arrest of 46-year-old Larry Heath Mitchell of Wetumpka. He was charged with obstructing justice by using a false identity; possession of a controlled substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mitchell’s total bond was set at $15,000. As of press time he remains in custody at the Coosa County Jail awaiting trial.
