On Saturday, Sept. 27, ADOC K-9 made a traffic stop near Fountain Correctional Facility.
Upon approaching the vehicle, the agent noticed a strong odor of marijuana. A vehicle search led to
the discovery of a T-shirt launcher and a large amount of contraband narcotics and cell phones.
Contraband seized included:
- 8 cell phones
- 248 grams marijuana
- 30 grams synthetic cannabinoids
The four individuals in the car were Haleigh Baskin, Jermain Fitzpatrick, Nazaree Haslam, and Amber
Crawford.
All four were arrested and charged with attempting to commit a controlled substance crime (two
counts), first-degree possession of marijuana, prohibited activities, and possession of synthetic cannabinoids.
Crawford was also charged with possession of a controlled substance (ecstasy).
Haslam was also charged with false identity to obstruct justice. Haslam and Baskin also had felony arrest warrants with different agencies.
They were all transported to the Escambia County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
