On Sunday, September 14, a visitor at Elmore Correctional Facility was arrested on contraband charges.
ADOC’s Law Enforcement Services Division Narcotics and K-9 units conducted a targeted search on visitor Wendy Michelle Strothers, which was part of an ongoing investigation.
During the search, approximately 77 grams of synthetic cathinones and 1.7 grams of suboxone were discovered concealed inside her pants.
Agents confiscated the drugs, arrested Strothers and charged her with drug trafficking and second-degree promoting prison contraband. She was transported to the Elmore County Jail without incident.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
