Two arrested on contraband charges at Ventress Correctional Facility

On July 26, the Clayton Police Department responded to Ventress Correctional Facility regarding a suspicious vehicle on ADOC property.
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but it fled. ADOC K9 agents assisted in the pursuit of the suspects. Officers observed the suspects throwing packages out of the vehicle during the pursuit.
Suspects Cade Daylon Hill and Olivia Hope Daukza were apprehended, and the packages were recovered.
Contraband seized included one drone and approximately:
- 30 g. Fentanyl
- 62 g. Synthetic
- 60 g. Meth
- 62 g. Heroin
- 64 g. Cocaine
- 360 g. Marijuana
Both suspects were arrested and charged with first-degree promoting prison contraband, second-degree promoting prison contraband, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, five counts of trafficking, and attempting to elude.
The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be pending.
